Biography
Piotr Schmidt (b. 1985) — Polish jazz trumpeter, composer and lecturer at the Academy of Music in Katowice. He studied trumpet under Piotr Wojtasik; held a scholarship at the University of Louisville (2006). Founder of SJ Records (2011). Since 2011 consistently among Jazz Forum's top four Polish jazz trumpeters. His album "Hearsay" was recognised as the best Polish jazz album of 2023 in four categories.
